Challenges

Communities In Schools of Jacksonville (CIS) partnered with Daigle Creative in 2011 for help in reframing their organization’s messaging and increasing their community awareness. They wished to position its leadership as the area’s experts on dropout prevention. With a small internal marketing team, they also needed support in developing a wide array of marketing materials and in promoting their fundraising events.

Solutions

Daigle Creative transformed CIS’s communications strategy, elevating its brand and maximizing its outreach. We designed a dynamic new website that shifted the focus from individual programs to the organization’s overarching mission, creating a more cohesive brand identity. Our public relations department increased their awareness on multiple fronts – securing interviews that showcased their leaders’ educational expertise, arranging for heart-warming package stories that featured students and obtaining segments that promoted fundraising events. We also worked seamlessly with CIS’s marketing and development team to design creative annual reports, fundraising appeals, event materials, long-format videos and PSAs.

Results

Daigle Creative has successfully increased awareness of the agency, with local media regularly turning to their leadership for stories ranging from literacy, to preventing learning loss, to staying on track for graduation. Our team has creatively supported three milestone anniversary events as well as seven Rising Stars talent show fundraisers – most notably helping them effectively transfer some of those shows to online events during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have essentially become an external arm of their internal marketing team, working together collaboratively to promote the many ways they help local at-risk students.
