Halloween candy is the highlight of the holiday for most, but children with braces face a unique challenge when scouring the spoils of their trick-or-treating. October’s National Orthodontics Month served as the perfect time for Daigle Creative client Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics to help parents identify which candies are safe to eat and which ones will wreak havoc for children with braces.

Dr. Arghavan Welch and Dr. Nick Reynolds, both chief orthodontic residents at JU Orthodontics, joined WJXT’s Jennifer Waugh to feature examples of “good” and “bad” Halloween candies, providing useful tips on how to enjoy the sweetness of Halloween without sacrificing your dental health.
